My name is Eirik Davey-Gislason and I work in real estate in New York City.  There, I said it.

Real estate in NYC has a horrendous reputation; a well-deserved horrendous reputation.  I didn’t intend to have a career in this field and the fact that I am still in the “business” 7+ years later is amazing to me.  I was looking for a second career and had limited options based on my background as an actor.  Thankfully, I found a firm dedicated to honesty, integrity, transparency and conducting business ethically.  As a result, my experience has been wonderful, positive, and rewarding.  I help many people find new homes.  That should be rewarding, right?

This blog is his opportunity for me to educate everyone who has a horror story or is on the verge of one.  By sharing, preparing and advising my audience on what to expect, what is normal, what is right, and what is wrong, I hope to do my part to expose the wrong-doers and shape the future of this dysfunctional thing we call NYC Real Estate.
